Coastal erosion risks at Pointe Verte (NB)

In January 2019, Groupe Régenord conducted a study in partnership with Chaleur Regional Service Commission on the risk of coastal erosion to infrastructures for the municipalities of Petit-Rocher and Pointe-Verte in Northeastern New Brunswcik, Canada. Shoreline erosion models and projections developed in this project are used to update the development plan for the studied communities.

Sylvicultural activities, Gaspésie (QC)

Groupe Régenord conducted pre-commercial thinning over 500 hectares of forest Land, in Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec, for the benefit of Gestion Forestière Lacroix. The activities included precommercial thinning and various forest inventories.

Flood & erosion risks, Neguac (NB)

In 2018, Groupe Régenord conducted a study, in partnership with the Acadian Peninsula Regional Service Commission and the coastal zones Research Institue Valores, on the risk of coastal erosion and flooding to the infrastructures of the municipality of Neguac in Northeastern New Brunswcik, Canada. The results of this project and the maps produced are used to adapt the development plan of the city to the effects of climate change. 

Shoreline monitoring via UAV IMAGERIE, (NB)

In partnership with the University of Moncton, Groupe Régenord uses UAV photography and field measurements to monitor the shoreline movement at Sainte Marie Saint Raphael Village and detect if there is any acceleration trend that can be attributed to the climate change effects. This was the phase III of a 3 years project.

The results of this project and the maps produced are used to adapt the development plan of the island and all of its municipality and Local Service Districts to the effects of climate change.
